PURPOSE OF JOB ANALYSIS
The
purpose of job analysis is to provide the answer to the various question like –
how does the worker go about doing the job? Why is the job being done? What
tasks is the worker asked to perform? Where, and in what conditions, is the Job
to be done? and what qualifications are deemed necessary for the job? It aims
to provide a picture of each job of the inter-relationship between jobs.
1. To prepare labour charts, rules and labour contracts.
2. To have knowledge relating to preparation of operating
manual and organisational chart.
3. To establish job and the time standards.
4. To collect facts required in training programmes.
5. To take precautions against insecurity and accident.
6. To prepare the basis of the work-evaluation to fix the
rates of payment to workers.
7. To appoint the best person to perform the job.
8. To find out the best method of the performance of the
job.
9. To determine the relationship of the job to technology
and to other jobs.
